I would have digitally purchased Reunion Tour, but the Weakerthan's label pulled out of eMusic a month or so ago. I'm basically down to a healthy eMusic subscription and buying physical CDs from the merch tables at shows. I rarely buy a CD from a store anymore (although I did find a used copy of "Fables" by Immaculate Machine last weekend, when ticket-buying.) I feel a bit guilty going in music stores these days.
I always liked the idea of fancy liner notes and packages, but found I never looked at them. And my shelves are full.
With most bands, even great bands, there are times when a new release just dosen't work, either do to personal taste, a change in direction, etc. This has not happened with the Weakerthans, and I can't see it ever happening. Not only do they make great records, but their live shows are amazing as well.
